If you want to serve them as a dessert, just add whipped cream on top and you’re done.
These chocolate and apple cupcakes are super good and very simple, and I also give you the sugar-free option so if you’re on a diet, you can have one without guilt.

Ingredients for Chocolate and Apple Cupcakes
- 1 apple
- 1 egg
- 3.5 oz egg whites
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour (for cakes)
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/3 cup almond flour
- 2 1/2 tbsp brown sugar (or erythritol)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 oz dark chocolate
- 2/3 cup plant-based milk

Preparation of Chocolate and Apple Cupcakes
To prepare the Cupcakes, first peel the apple, remove the core, and cut it into pieces.
Place the apple in the blender cup along with the milk (you can also use whole milk) and blend for a few seconds.
Add the egg, egg whites, sugar (or sweetener) to the blender and blend for 1 minute.
In a large bowl, sift the flours with the baking powder and cocoa and incorporate the freshly blended liquid.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 340°F in static mode
Arrange the paper liners on a baking sheet and fill them with the mixture using a spoon until they are 3/4 full.
Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place them on top of the mixture.
Bake the Cupcakes on the lower-middle shelf of the oven and cook for 20/25 minutes.
Remember to check the degree of baking 5 minutes before the time I’ve indicated because every oven is different and may require fewer minutes.
Remove from the oven after doing the toothpick test and if you want to serve them as a dessert, once cooled, remove the paper liners and decorate them with whipped cream by simply piping a tuft on top with a pastry bag.

How to Store Chocolate and Apple Cupcakes
You can store them without whipped cream in a paper bag or a tin box for 3 days.
If you prefer, you can freeze them so you can remove the ones you need 1 hour before consuming them.
