- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 egg
- 5 tbsps sunflower oil
- 3 1/2 tbsps milk (warm)
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking ammonia
- 1 pinch cream of tartar
- lemon zest (grated)
- brown sugar (to sprinkle)

LET’S MAKE THE COOKIES….
In a bowl, mix the egg with the sugar using a hand whisk, dissolve the baking ammonia in warm milk and add it to the bowl, then also add the sugar, lemon zest, and cream of tartar, mix everything well and finally add the flour little by little, mix and let the dough rest, which will be compact but sticky; that’s how it should be. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and, using a spoon, form balls with the dough, place them on the sheet, sprinkle them with brown sugar, and bake at 350°F for about 15/20 minutes. Remove from the oven, let them cool completely so the ammonia smell will dissipate.
