Ingredients for Glazed Chicken Wings

  • 2.2 lbs chicken wings
  • 3 tbsps tomato puree
  • 2 tsps honey
  • as needed extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 lemons (juice, use two if small)

Steps for Glazed Chicken Wings

  • To prepare the glazed chicken wings, the first thing to do is to clean the wings of any feather residues, you can also singe them to clean them completely.

    Divide them with the help of a knife, being very careful.

  • Place the chicken wings in a bowl.

    Add the juice of one lemon, the tomato puree, salt, pepper, honey, and sweet paprika.

    (If you wish, you can add chili to the marinade and use barbecue sauce instead of tomato puree).

  • Massage them with your hands for a few more minutes to further tenderize the chicken.

    Let them marinate for at least 1/2 hours in the fridge, covering the bowl with cling film.

  • After the resting time, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the wings on top without overlapping them.

    Add a tablespoon of marinade sauce on each and bake at 375°F (convection) for 30 to 35 minutes.

  • Turn the wings occasionally, basting them with the marinade, so they become perfectly glazed and tender.

    When they are golden brown, remove them from the oven and serve them hot!

Tips

If you have leftover wings, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

When you are ready to serve them, just reheat them for a few minutes in the oven or microwave. Being very tender, they will be just as delicious the next day.
