The roasted pepper salad is a colorful, tasty side dish perfect for summer.
Today I propose a faster and smarter version: roasted in an air fryer!
This method allows you to save time: it takes only about 20 minutes to get soft and well-roasted peppers.
Plus, you avoid turning on the oven. Ideal on hot days because it doesn’t overheat the kitchen.
And finally, you reduce energy consumption thanks to quick and localized cooking.
The result? Fragrant peppers, easy to peel, and perfect to enjoy in a salad, seasoned with good oil, garlic, and parsley. A simple, light, and healthy recipe, just like I and my family love it. You can use peppers of any color you prefer. Yellow, red, or green.
Are you ready? Follow the aroma and get ready to serve something good… and fragrant! 🍴

Preparation of the Roasted Pepper Salad
Wash the peppers well, choosing those that are healthy and without bruises.
Dry them carefully by patting the surface. It is not necessary to cut them or remove stems and seeds. At this point, roast the peppers by placing them directly in the air fryer basket, I use the Philips 5000 Airfryer XXL connected to the internet, which you can conveniently control remotely with your phone, thanks to the Home ID Recipe app where you can find many personalized recipes.
Start the fryer and cook at 392°F for about 20 minutes, turning them a couple of times to ensure even cooking. Remember that the cooking times are indicative as they depend on the size and quantity of peppers you will cook, but especially on your air fryer model.
If you don’t have one, you can roast the peppers using a traditional oven, but in that case, it will take more time.
After cooking the peppers, place them in a paper bag, like the ones for bread, to proceed with peeling them. I avoid plastic bags, both for health reasons and ethical reasons, and therefore use paper. But when I don’t have any, I use a glass container with a lid to avoid using a plastic bag. After about 6-7 minutes, the heat inside the bag will allow you to remove the pepper skin easily, without scraping and without burning yourself.
Mix and your roasted pepper salad is ready. Before serving, let it rest for an hour in the refrigerator to enhance the flavor. Enjoy your meal and see you next time!
