Made with a base of pre-made puff pastry and plenty of Nutella, fast and spectacular, the original idea lies in the particular cut of the pastry, noticed by chance on TikTok. As I mentioned, the recipe is very simple and really quick to prepare. Instead of Nutella, you can also use jam, in the flavor you prefer.

Once ready, this braid (see puff pastry braid with Nutella) has almost the appearance of a branch of leaves, very nice to look at. I thought it would be perfect for a Christmas breakfast or snack or as a final dessert for a Christmas lunch or dinner if you have little time and still want to make a good impression. Ingredients for puff pastry branch with Nutella

  • 8 oz puff pastry
  • 7 tbsp Nutella®
  • to taste sugar (granulated)
  • to taste powdered sugar

  • Rolling Pin Take a rectangular pastry sheet, roll it well, on its parchment paper sheet
  • Scissors Durable kitchen scissors, large, strong, soft grip, dishwasher safe, multi-purpose, kitchen scissors for food, bottle opener and safety sheath.

Steps for puff pastry branch with Nutella

  • Unroll the puff pastry, roll it with the rolling pin. Place it on a baking tray. On the entire pastry, place spoonfuls of Nutella, then spread with a spatula. Roll up from the long side and cut the roll as you see in the photo (I will post a video soon).

  • Brush the braid with some milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake at 350°F in a fan oven for about 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden. Remove from oven, let cool, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
