The marble cake with chocolate chips is a dessert for all occasions – breakfast, snack, after a meal, or whenever you crave something sweet.

Ingredients for the Marble Cake with Chocolate Chips
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs (large)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3.5 oz butter
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Half packet baking powder
- 1 orange zest (grated)

Preparation for the Marble Cake with Chocolate Chips
The batter can be prepared with a Thermomix, a stand mixer, or by hand with a whisk.
In a bowl, cream the butter with the sugar, add the eggs, mix well, then the milk, orange zest, flour gradually, and finally the sifted baking powder.Mix the batter well until smooth and homogeneous.
Split half of the batter into another bowl, add the sifted cocoa, mix well, if you want a very dark effect, add a few more grams of cocoa, to prevent the batter from becoming hard, add a little more milk.Grease and flour a baking pan 9 inches in diameter, start by pouring a spoonful of white batter at the bottom, then a spoonful of black batter, continue alternating layers until the batter is finished.
When the layers are finished, use a wooden stick to make designs, start from the center, pulling the stick to the edge.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips and then transfer the pan to the oven.Bake the marble cake in a preheated fan oven at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes.
This depends on your oven’s power, do the toothpick test, if it comes out dry, remove the cake from the oven.Let it cool slightly, then remove the marble cake from the pan, place it on a serving plate, slice, and serve when it is completely cool!
Tips and Variations
The marble cake stays soft for about 3 days when stored under a dome or covered with plastic wrap.
