With this simple GRANDMA’S remedy, you recover after any binge: the DIGESTIVE CANARY
If you really overdid it at the table and the binges knocked you out, here’s a classic and simple natural grandma’s remedy to aid digestion, the so-called DIGESTIVE CANARY.
A recipe as simple as it is effective from both a digestive and antibacterial standpoint.
Prepare the foolproof grandma’s Canary remedy after a big meal is very easy, and you will only need lemon and water. Just cut the yellow part of the lemon peel (strictly organic) and boil it in water for a few minutes.
Once poured into a cup or glass, add a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch of honey. You just have to drink it, and you’ll feel better immediately.
In addition to its digestive properties, the canary is also great for combating nausea and boasts many beneficial effects, including antioxidant ones.
If by chance you have bay leaves at home, add them because they have an anti-inflammatory function, and your stomach will calm down immediately. For a more pleasant taste, you can grate fresh ginger inside; you will also achieve a DEFLATING effect.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 1 lemon peel (organic, untreated)
Tools
- Saucepan
Steps
Wash the lemon thoroughly, then with a peeler or a sharp knife, cut the peel, taking care to avoid the white part (otherwise the infusion will be bitter). Pour the water into a saucepan, add the lemon peel and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the water turns yellowish (just like a canary, from which it gets its name). Pour the DIGESTIVE CANARY into a cup or glass, if you prefer, filtering it through a strainer. Here is the best natural post-binge remedy: grandma’s DIGESTIVE CANARY!
STORAGE
The digestive canary should be consumed hot, right after preparation.
