Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • to taste vanilla flavoring
  • 1/8 cup pine nuts
  • to taste milk (for dipping the cookies)

How to prepare Grandma’s Tiramisu

  • In a bowl, vigorously beat the egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla, then pour in the warm milk.

  • Also add the sifted flour and mix with a whisk.

  • Transfer to the stove and start cooking over low heat, continuing to stir until it thickens. Then let the custard cool in a bowl covered with cling film, meanwhile take the cookies and dip them in milk.

  • Create a base with the slightly soaked cookies and alternate them with the layers of custard you have prepared. Finish the last layer with the cream and toasted pine nuts. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Storing Grandma’s Tiramisu

This classic flavored dessert can only be stored in the refrigerator if well covered with cling film, for up to 3 days. If you prefer, you can replace the milk with coffee to soak the cookies.
