Preparation for Crispy Chocolates with Dried Fruits
To prepare this recipe, start by toasting the dried fruits, place them on a baking tray and let them brown for 5 minutes in a preheated oven at 392°F, or with a grill, turn and mix well for even cooking, be careful not to burn them as they will taste bitter.
After toasting the dried fruits, let them cool slightly and then roughly chop them with a meat tenderizer.
Chop and melt the dark chocolate in a non-stick pan or pot, stirring until it becomes nice and smooth.Pour the dried fruits into the melted chocolate, also add the rum vial, mix and blend well to cover all the dried fruits, then with the help of two teaspoons form small piles and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Space them apart and let them cool until the chocolate hardens. To speed up this process, you can put the tray in the fridge, so they set faster.
Once they have cooled, you can serve the crispy rum-flavored dried fruit chocolates piled this way in a bowl or serving plate, or inside a paper cup.

Anna recommends…
For the crispy chocolates, you can use the dried fruits you like best and flavor them with orange liqueur or something else according to your tastes.
The chocolates can be kept cool for several days.
Can I use white chocolate?
Yes, of course, you can cover them with white chocolate too, or both, just make sure it’s lactose-free if you are intolerant.
