Puff Pastry Swirl Tree with Raspberries

The puff pastry swirl tree with raspberries and pomegranate seeds is a very simple, quick, and scenic Christmas dessert.

An alternative dessert for those who do not love the classic panettone or pandoro, especially for children who do not like laborious sweets.

This sweet tree is prepared in 10 minutes and is truly a very quick recipe that you can always customize and fill according to your tastes.
Perfect for the holiday table with relatives and friends, for a card evening, just a little and in very little time the dessert is ready!

I preferred a raspberry jam, but you can fill and decorate it with whatever you like best!
Naturally, for more portions, use more puff pastry rolls to create a much larger sweet tree!

Preparation for the Puff Pastry Swirl Tree with Raspberries

  • For the preparation of this recipe, buy one or two sheets of puff pastry, depending on the number of guests.
Unroll the sheet leaving the parchment paper underneath, with a spoon spread a generous amount of raspberry jam, or another according to your tastes.

  • Spread it well over the entire sheet, then with the help of the parchment paper roll it up and wrap it well, making sure the final part adheres to the roll.
Place it on a tray and let it firm up for 15 minutes in the freezer before slicing it.

  • After the chilling time in the freezer, with a good sharp knife cut the roll into 11 slices of equal thickness. Slightly close the lower part of each slice and then place them on a rectangular baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Follow the outline of a tree by placing the swirls gradually and shaping them into a rose shape.
Start with the top then continue with two, three, four and finish with the trunk, as shown in the attached photo. Then sprinkle with some powdered sugar.
If you use two sheets, add more swirls and adjust accordingly for the shape.
