Ingredients for Wheat Cookies with Tomatoes and Tuna
- 14 oz bread (wheat cookies)
- 1 1/3 cup cherry tomatoes
- 7 oz tuna in oil
- 1 1/3 cup green olives
- 1 tbsp oregano
- leaves basil
- 2 pinches salt
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Preparation of Wheat Cookies with Tomatoes and Tuna
Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes well. Then dice them, removing the seeds inside. Season them with salt.
Pit the olives and cut them into pieces.
Drain the tuna from its preserving oil and break it up roughly with a fork.
Fill a bowl with water and dip the wheat cookies in it for a few seconds.
Transfer the cookies to a salad bowl, breaking them into pieces. Add the cherry tomatoes, tuna, olives, oregano, basil leaves, and oil. Gently mix everything together and serve immediately.
Suggestions
– You can replace the green olives with black ones.
– Instead of tuna in oil, you can opt for natural tuna.
– You can replace the cherry tomatoes with salad tomatoes (preferably more ripe).
