CHOCOLATE DESSERT recipe with only 2 INGREDIENTS

A few minutes and only 2 ingredients to prepare this Chocolate Dessert without baking, delicious and customizable in a thousand ways.

A tasty recipe dedicated to all chocolate lovers for this spoon dessert with a dense and creamy texture at the same time that literally melts in the mouth!

If you have overripe bananas and chocolate at home to use up, this recipe is for you: in just a few minutes, you will prepare this dessert without even turning on the oven.

A tasty and enveloping dessert rich in flavor yet light because it’s made with only two ingredients: bananas and dark chocolate, without added fats or sugar. Furthermore, being free from flour, milk, or eggs, it’s suitable for everyone: those who are intolerant to these ingredients or those on a diet.

An incredibly easy recipe that takes just 5 minutes and a few simple steps. Just blend the bananas, add the previously melted dark chocolate, give it one last quick blend, and the dessert will be ready to pour into a mold and set in the fridge to solidify.

The only “sacrifice” will be to wait for the dessert to reach the right consistency (at least 2 hours in the fridge), but if you’re in a hurry, 30 minutes in the freezer will be just fine!

Banana and chocolate have always been a winning combination for a Chocolate Cake perfect for any occasion: from a sudden sweet craving to a dessert at the end of a meal, decorated with fresh fruit or chocolate shavings and shredded coconut.

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas (ripe)
  • 10.6 oz 75% dark chocolate
  • shredded coconut
  • berries
  • chocolate (in shavings)
  • nuts

Tools

  • Blender
  • Mold

Steps

For this dessert to be completely lactose-free, you must use Extra Dark Chocolate with at least 75% cocoa or more.

  • Slice the bananas and put them in the blender, blend for 1 minute until creamy and smooth. Add the previously melted dark chocolate, either in the microwave or a bain-marie, then blend again to create a smooth and homogeneous mixture.

  • Transfer the mixture into a cake pan lined with parchment paper or individual molds and let it rest in the refrigerator until it sets (at least 2 hours, I left it for 4 hours for a firmer consistency). Once ready, you can enjoy it simply by dusting the surface with unsweetened cocoa powder or decorate this Chocolate Dessert with fresh fruit or shredded coconut.

NOTES

For this dessert to be completely lactose-free, you must use Extra Dark Chocolate with at least 75% cocoa or more.

If you don’t have intolerance issues and prefer a sweeter dessert, you can easily replace the Dark Chocolate with milk chocolate.

To enjoy it best, I recommend taking it out of the fridge at least 10 minutes before serving to regain the right consistency.

You can accompany this dessert with a dollop of cream or a scoop of ice cream and seasonal fruit.

Suggestions for surface decoration: a simple dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder; shredded coconut; vanilla powdered sugar; hazelnut cream; chopped nuts or granules; pistachio cream, or whatever your imagination suggests.

STORAGE

This Banana and Chocolate Dessert can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
