PANDORO CAKE

PANDORO CAKE, is a soft cake with a taste and shape very similar to pandoro, ready in no time, a perfect dessert for the holiday table.

The pandoro cake allows you to recreate not only the traditional shape of the dessert but also the fragrance and taste. Like all soft cakes, we will mix all the ingredients and flavor the dough with grated orange and lemon zest: these will give the cake the classic taste of pandoro.

Ingredients

LET’S SEE TOGETHER WHAT WE NEED TO PREPARE

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seed oil
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • orange (Mix of orange and lemon zest)
  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Mixer

Steps

Let’s start preparing the

  • Let’s start preparing the pandoro cake, whisk the eggs with sugar until tripled. Add the grated lemon and orange zest.

    Combine the milk and then the oil in a thin stream while continuing to whisk.

    Add the sifted all-purpose flour and baking powder in several additions, continuing to mix with the beaters.

    Finally, add the pinch of salt.

  • Pour the mixture into a well-oiled pandoro mold

    Bake in a static and preheated oven at 350°F for about 45 minutes

    Check with a toothpick. If dry, it is ready

    Once cool, remove the pandoro cake from the mold and decorate it with a dusting of powdered sugar.
