Strawberry Tiramisu

The most famous Italian dessert in the world? Surely, the tiramisu! We mean the classic version, the one with coffee. However, there are many variations that over the years we have come to appreciate, and one of them is the strawberry version, the star of this recipe.

Let’s say not everyone loves coffee, and for this reason, using the same technique, we can make a great tiramisu by sharing basic ingredients like ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.

Ingredients

For the Strawberry Tiramisu

  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups mascarpone
  • as needed ladyfingers
  • 14 oz strawberries

Steps

To make the Strawberry Tiramisu

  • Put the egg, egg yolks, and sugar in a food processor, or in a bowl if using electric whisks, and whip for about 5 minutes until the mixture is thick.

  • Add the mascarpone to the whipped mixture and continue to whip for another 2 minutes.

  • Blend about 6 strawberries with the milk using an immersion blender to form the liquid where you will later dip the ladyfingers.

  • Slice the remaining strawberries that you will use to fill the layers of the tiramisu.

  • Take a medium/small baking dish and spread a layer of mascarpone cream on the base

  • Dip the ladyfingers one by one in the strawberry and milk smoothie and place them over the entire surface of the baking dish.

  • Cover with the mascarpone cream evenly and then with the strawberry slices.

  • Repeat the step by dipping the ladyfingers in the liquid and create another layer, put the last part of the mascarpone cream evenly and finish by covering with the strawberry slices over the entire surface of the tiramisu.

Tip!
