Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles

Strawberry yogurt popsicles are a deliciously fresh and sweet treat suitable for everyone, also made with plant-based yogurt or lactose-free yogurt. They are natural, without colorings or preservatives, egg-free, and cream-free but with plenty of fresh fruit. They represent a healthy snack for our children and more. The base of these popsicles is sweetened or natural plain yogurt, to which fresh fruit, honey, or brown sugar is added as a sweetener. Strawberry yogurt popsicles are very easy to make and only take a few minutes to prepare. We can use popsicle molds or anything else that our imagination suggests to create special popsicles for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups plain or fruit yogurt
  • 5.3 oz strawberries
  • to taste honey or brown sugar
  • to taste lemon juice and zest

Preparation

  • Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and cut them into cubes or slices, depending on taste and need.

Pour the yogurt into a bowl, add the honey (or brown sugar), the fruit pieces (you can also blend them if you wish), the grated zest, and a teaspoon of lemon juice that will further enhance the aroma and flavor of the strawberries.

Mix well, taste to check the sweetness level (add a little more honey or sugar if needed), and finally, pour the mixture into each mold, filling them up to the brim.

Gently tap the molds with your fingers to ensure the mixture is evenly distributed inside them.

Transfer the molds to the freezer and let them freeze for 2 hours.

After two hours, insert the wooden sticks or the plastic ones from the molds. Allow them to freeze completely and mature (they become even better) for 12 hours.
