Preparation of Puff Pastry Trees with Truffle
In a bowl, place the spreadable cheese and truffle cream, mix with the spoon until you get a well-blended mixture.
Roll out a sheet of puff pastry on the work surface and with the help of a kitchen spatula spread the prepared cream over it, distributing it evenly over the entire surface.
Cover with the other roll of puff pastry and gently press the edges.
With the cookie cutter, cut out the trees and place them one by one on a baking sheet with parchment paper (I got 24 pieces), then at the end of the recipe I’ll tell you how to use the scraps, for now set them aside!
In a small bowl break an egg and add a pinch of salt, beat well with the fork and brush it well over all the trees.
Add poppy seeds on half of the trees and sesame seeds on the other half.
Heat the oven to 428°F and once hot, bake, cook for 15/20 minutes (the minutes depend on each oven because they are not all the same, so check the cooking towards the end!) at the end of cooking, the puff pastry trees with truffle should be well golden on the surface, remove them from the oven and let them cool.
Once cool you can put them all in a single bowl and place them in the center of the table or plate individual portions (the amount of the single portion is at your discretion!).
HOW TO USE LEFTOVER SCRAPS, NOTHING GOES TO WASTE!
Brush the scraps with the egg, then add sesame seeds and poppy seeds to taste and cook them exactly like the trees, then enjoy them as a savory snack!
