Chocolate is never missing in the house and considering that my daughters love chocolate salami, I thought of surprising them with the Christmas and colorful version of chocolate salami. I used the chocolate I had at home: milk chocolate with hazelnuts, dark chocolate, and chocolates with puffed rice for a total of 200 grams. You can replace them with your preferred ones without any problems.
This recipe is very simple and really quick to prepare!
A version without eggs or butter.

Preparation
THE CHOCOLATE SALAMI IN CHRISTMAS VERSION – Recipe without eggs or butter.
For the preparation of the chocolate salami you can use the cookies you prefer. I usually use the ones left in the pantry that maybe they don’t want anymore.
You don’t necessarily have to use a blender. In fact, I recommend putting them in a food bag, closing it, and crushing them coarsely with your hands or by using the bottom of a glass.
Take 7 oz. of chocolate, chop it, and melt it in a bain-marie.
Pour the cookies into a large bowl. Add the chocolate and 3.39 tbsp of milk at room temperature. First mix with a fork and then compact the mixture with your hands.
At this point, lay out a sheet of aluminum foil and spread the mixture giving it the shape of a Christmas tree. Cover with chocolate decorations (white, dark, and milk chocolate beads). Wrap in aluminum foil and let rest in the freezer for 3 hours.
After the resting time, sprinkle the powdered sugar and spread the smarties (they will be the colorful balls of the tree 🙂 )
On Amazon, I found the jar of those mini ones perfect for cake and dessert decorations (HERE) .
Cut the tree into strips, space them a bit, and let rest for at least a couple of hours.
Ideally, it should be eaten the next day, but obviously, my greedy ones couldn’t resist and wanted it as dessert after dinner.
