Hello! This Christmas I thought of making a heartfelt gift for my friends, an edible gift: the cookie mix.
I wanted to create a more “thoughtful” gift and not the usual one that ends up in a corner.
You just need to pay a little attention to the jars, the rest is very simple!
Now I’ll explain how 😉

- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 8-10
- Cooking methods: No cooking
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 5 oz brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 1/4 oz chocolate chips
Tools
- 1 Jar
Steps
The first step is to sterilize the glass jars. Even if you have just bought them, it’s a good practice to wash them by hand and then sterilize them. The link provides 7 different methods. It doesn’t matter which you choose, just make sure to do it to prevent unpleasant surprises.
The next step is the most fun and creative part: filling the glass jars with the cookie mix.
Pour the ingredients (except the chocolate chips which should go last) as you like to create different colored layers.
For example, after putting part of the flour, pour some brown sugar, then more flour, the baking powder, the rest of the sugar, and finally the salt. Finish it off with chocolate chips.
At this point, attach the list of ingredients to the jar (so the recipient knows what’s inside).
and the instructions: what to add and how to bake them.
It’s very simple! Pour the contents of the jar into a bowl, mix the ingredients, add 1 egg and softened butter in pieces and then work the dough until compact.
Shape 8-10 balls and space them well on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Slightly flatten the balls and bake in a fan oven at 355°F for about 15 minutes on the lower rack.
