Delicious and quick breakfast? This recipe is perfect! On a Sunday morning I decided to make a cake for breakfast since the girls were still sleeping. I tidy up here and there and time flies. So I opted for something tasty that doesn’t take much time between preparation and baking otherwise a breakfast cake quickly becomes an afternoon snack 🤣
Simple ingredients you already have at home because if I have to go buy something I won’t make it anymore. Let’s prepare it!!

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 banana
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 2/3 cup Type 00 flour (all-purpose/00 flour)
- 1 packet baking powder (for cakes)
- 3.4 fl oz milk
- 3.4 fl oz sunflower seed oil
- 4 tbsp Nutella®
- powdered sugar (optional)
- chocolate chips (optional)

Steps
A few simple steps for a delicious cake.
1. Preheat the oven to 356°F.
2. Prepare the pan by greasing it and dusting it with flour.
3. Beat the eggs with the sugar.
4. Mash one banana with a fork until creamy.
5. Add the banana to the mixture and blend.
6. Add the milk and oil and continue mixing.
7. Fold in the sifted flour and baking powder until the batter is smooth and homogeneous.
8. Pour half of the batter into the pan.
9. Add generous spoonfuls of Nutella (if you want you can spread it with a fork into the batter).
10. Cover with the remaining batter.
Bake in the preheated oven at 356°F for about 35 minutes on the lower rack.When baking is finished, turn off the oven and “forget” the cake. Let it cool completely in the oven. This prevents temperature shocks and avoids the cake sinking.
You can decorate the cake with powdered sugar and chocolate chips.
