The flatbread ready in 5 minutes is the solution for sudden sweet or savory snacks; it’s a great remedy when, like me, you forget to buy bread or simply don’t feel like cooking and want to sort out lunch or dinner quickly with minimal effort and, above all, without dirtying the whole kitchen.
I make it often for all the reasons I mentioned before, but above all because I love it! Today I prepared it with prosciutto, mozzarella and lettuce, but you can stuff it however you like!

Preparation
The flatbread ready in 5 minutes.
Prepare the ingredients and, for convenience, use a plate and a fork and stand near the sink. Pour two heaping tablespoons of flour into a plate, slowly add water in a thin stream while stirring with a fork. Add a drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt and continue mixing until you reach a thick consistency. You can also make it without adding oil and salt.
Heat a nonstick skillet and when it’s very hot pour in the batter. When it releases it is ready to be flipped.Cook over medium heat and prick the surface with a fork. When you see it puff up it means the inside is cooking.
Finally, heat the other side as well.
The flatbread ready in 5 minutes can be eaten as a bread substitute or filled as you like.
To prepare mine I spread mozzarella over half the flatbread and folded it in half. I covered it with the lid for a couple of minutes. Once the heat was turned off, I filled the flatbread with prosciutto (cured ham), lettuce and mayonnaise.
Or you can enjoy it with prosciutto, mozzarella, eggplant and cherry tomatoes. A real delight!
