- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- half penne rigate
- blue cheese
- walnuts
- milk
- Parmigiano Reggiano DOP
Preparation
The process is very simple.
Cook the pasta in plenty of hot water for the time indicated on the package.
Today I chose to prepare half penne. A short pasta that goes well with many dishes. According to the Mediterranean diet, 80-85 grams (2.8-3 oz) of pasta per person is recommended.
This sauce goes perfectly with fresh pasta: trofie, cavatelli, orecchiette..
On the blog, you can find how to prepare some shapes. Just click on the word or search with the magnifying glass 😉.
In a non-stick pan melt the mild blue cheese. Coarsely chop the walnuts and add them to the blue cheese along with a couple of tablespoons of milk. Stir until the cream thickens and set aside.
Drain the pasta al dente and toss with the prepared cream.
Finally, sprinkle the surface with Parmigiano.
