MASCARPONE SALAMI…WITH THE CHOCOLATE YOU LIKE!

Today’s snack? Chocolate salami. The girls love it, so what better way to finish off the “leftovers” from the pantry and make them happy? There are always cookies that nobody wants after a while, and I still had a lot of chocolate from the Easter eggs to finish.
They loved it… and so did their friends!
Shall we make it together? It’s really simple, you’ll see.

  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 7 oz dry cookies
  • 5.3 oz dark chocolate
  • 7 oz milk chocolate
  • 5.6 oz butter
  • 8.8 oz mascarpone
  • 3.5 oz powdered sugar

Preparation

  • The chocolate salami is a very simple dessert to make that everyone enjoys. In today’s version, we do not use eggs, but mascarpone.

Roughly chop the cookies or simply put them in a bag and crush them leaving some larger pieces.

  • The chocolate? Whatever you have at home… dark or milk or do like me and use both!

Chop it into pieces, finely chop and melt, then add the butter. Mix well and add the mascarpone.

Finally, pour everything into a bowl with the crushed cookies and mix well.

  • Place a sheet of parchment paper on a work surface and transfer the mixture. Using the paper, roll the mixture into a salami shape and seal the ends like a candy.

Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

  • Once ready, remove the paper and cover the entire surface with powdered sugar to give the salami effect. If you want, you can also add some twine to make it look even more real.

Return to the fridge to rest for at least another hour. (whole or sliced)

I let it rest overnight. I prefer it the next day.
