Today I made my first jam and I am more than satisfied with the result 🙂
The white grape jam. I had been thinking about it for a few days. I looked at the grapes and thought to myself “I have to try it.” I looked at many recipes to understand how best to prepare the grapes… with or without the skin, how to clean them, how to season them… and finally, I came up with my own recipe! I didn’t like the idea of the skin, so after carefully washing the grapes, I peeled them and removed the seeds. I cooked them with red apples and a pinch of cinnamon. The result was truly exceptional!

- Difficulty: Medium
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 2 Hours
- Cooking time: 50 Minutes
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 2.2 lbs White grapes (without skin or seeds)
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- Ground cinnamon
- 2 Red Delicious apples
- 1 Lemons
Preparation
I started preparing the white grape jam by removing all the grapes and putting them in a very large bowl. I rinsed them by changing the water twice.
I drained the water and with much patience, I peeled the grapes, cut them in half, and removed the seeds.
I squeezed a lemon and mixed it. At this point, I covered the bowl with a transparent film and placed it in the refrigerator overnight.
The next morning I continued preparing the white grape jam. I cleaned and chopped two red apples and added them to the grapes in a pot. I seasoned with two tablespoons of sugar and half a teaspoon of cinnamon.
I cooked everything for about 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. To make the white grape jam more homogeneous, I used the immersion blender for a few seconds. I let it cool in the pot with the lid closed.
Then, I poured it into the jars (these in the link by clicking the word “jars” are very cute, and there are also fabric jar covers, labels, tags, string) that I had previously sterilized. The white grape jam is ready! Simply delicious!!
