Gluten-free chocolate quinoa bars, perfect for consumption after sports or as a mid-morning snack, ideal for our children’s snack time.

Today, I present to you an incredibly easy recipe, one of my no-fuss recipes. 🙂

Rich in healthy fats from walnuts and almonds, with a good balance of energy and fiber.
Great as a pre/post workout energy snack or a healthy snack or for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2.1 oz puffed quinoa (puffed)
  • 1.8 oz dark chocolate (coarsely chopped or chocolate chips)
  • 1.8 oz walnuts (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp almond paste (100% or substitute with peanut butter)

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Baking Dish

Steps

  • In a bowl, mix all ingredients very well together.

    Until obtaining a homogeneous and compact mixture, optionally add a bit more almond paste.

    Spread the mixture in a baking dish lined with parchment paper, cover with plastic wrap, and place in the fridge.

    After a few hours, remove from the fridge and cut into pieces.
