  • 2.1 oz Prague ham (or cooked ham)
  • 2.1 scamorza cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • to taste flaxseeds (or sesame seeds)

  • 1 Air Fryer Paper
  • 1 Air Fryer

  • Savory Croissants: foolproof recipe for Christmas appetizers or for a dinner, but also an idea for a simple and quick main course.

  • Unroll a sheet of puff pastry, you can also buy whole wheat.

  • Spread the puff pastry with sour cream or, for a lighter croissant, with Greek yogurt.

  • Add your favorite cured meat, in my case Prague ham, on half of the puff pastry.

  • Add scamorza cheese or any cheese you prefer sliced thinly.

  • Fold the puff pastry.

  • Cut the puff pastry into 6 parts; for smaller croissants, you can cut the roll into 12 slices.

  • Roll the slices from the base to the tip.

  • Beat an egg yolk and then brush the croissants.

  • Add, if you like, some flaxseeds or sesame seeds.

  • Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 356°F or until golden.
    In my air fryer 9 minutes at 356°F.

  • You can serve them warm.
