Spicy tomato chickpeas, a recipe to enjoy legumes even in the summer and not necessarily in salads.
As you may have noticed, I often use chickpeas in my recipes because they are an excellent protein source alternative to meat, help with weight loss, and are rich in soluble fiber beneficial for fighting cholesterol.
Francy’s Advice: save time by using pre-cooked chickpeas, but remember to rinse them very, very well to remove excess salt and not add any more.
In this recipe, I paired them with rice, but they can be served with pita, Naan bread, flatbreads, or Arab focaccia.
So without further ado, let’s prepare the spicy tomato chickpeas together, oh my, they are good!
