Ingredients for a 20 cm pan

  • 2 apples
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 7 tbsp brown sugar (or granulated)
  • 1 lemon (juice and grated zest)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 eggs (medium)
  • 2/3 cup walnut halves
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • to taste powdered sugar

Steps

How to prepare the Apple and Walnut Cake in Air Fryer

  • Peel the apples, remove the core, cut them into cubes, place them in a bowl, drizzle with lemon juice and mix with a spoon

  • Add cinnamon, grated lemon zest, and roughly chopped walnuts, saving some for decoration. Mix to flavor everything and set aside

  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs with brown sugar and salt until the mixture is fluffy and foamy

  • Add the oil in a thin stream and continue mixing until absorbed

  • Add the Greek yogurt and blend with the whisk

  • Now pour the sifted flour and baking powder all at once and mix until the batter is smooth and homogeneous

  • Add the apples and walnuts to the egg and flour mixture, gently mix with a spatula or wooden spoon

  • Pour the batter into the previously greased and floured pan, leveling the surface and sprinkle with the reserved walnuts. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F for 2/3 minutes

  • Place the pan on the rack and cook with the bake or air fry program at 320°F for 40/45 minutes, doing the toothpick test after 30 minutes and in multiple spots. It should come out completely dry

  • After baking, leave the cake inside for 5 minutes with the door slightly open

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool

  • The Apple and Walnut Cake is ready to be enjoyed. Slice it and serve😋
