The recipe for spoon apple cake is convenient to prepare because you don’t use the scale as the ingredients are measured with the spoon… fantastic, right?!
When you crave a dessert and have little time available, or an unexpected invitation to dinner and no time to stop by the pastry shop, this is the ideal cake. The ingredients are mixed all together in a bowl, without any tools but only with the help of a spoon. The cooking of this recipe is in an air fryer, and it can also be baked in a traditional oven. As a mold, I used a square non-stick pan 9×9 inches, but if you want a slightly taller cake, you can replace it with a round pan of 8 inches.

The spoon apple cake is my favorite apple cake. I call it the all-apple cake… because it requires 4 or 5 apples (depending on the size of the apples) sliced thinly and very little flour… but let’s prepare it together!!

Ingredients
- 4 Golden apples (5 if they are small)
- 8 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn oil (or sunflower oil)
- 2 eggs
- 1 lemon peel with untreated peel (grated)
- 1 packet baking powder
- to taste powdered sugar

Steps
In a bowl, pour the flour, sugar, eggs, oil, and grated lemon peel.
Remove the core from the apples, peel them, and slice them very thinly. Add the sifted baking powder and mix well with the spoon
Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan and level it well
Bake at 320°F for 30 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test
Let the apple cake cool before removing it from the mold
Transfer the spoon apple cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar
I recommend starting to prepare all the ingredients in the bowl except for the apples, to prevent them from turning dark during preparation and the baking powder.
You can bake the apple cake in the oven at 340°F for 20/30 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test
