The Chocolate Cakes, cooked in an Air Fryer or oven, are delightful treats with a creamy texture that melts in your mouth. They are made in minutes, without yeast and flour, replaced by potato starch, making them suitable for those with gluten intolerance. You’ll need sugar, eggs, butter, and chocolate, and they will be ready to bake in minutes.
For this Chocolate Cakes recipe, I used milk chocolate with hazelnuts, but you can replace it with plain milk chocolate or dark chocolate, in which case you’ll need to increase the sugar. If you want, you can double the doses and make a cake with a 20 cm mold. If you don’t have chocolate and have Nutella, then I recommend the Mini Nutella Soufflé in Air Fryer, very similar in texture to the chocolate cakes.

Steps
Start with the chocolate by melting it in a bain-marie: break it and place it in a bowl with the butter, this way it will melt faster. Make sure not to let the water touch the bottom of the bowl
While the chocolate melts, whisk the sugar with the eggs in another bowl for 5 minutes until you get a fluffy and frothy mixture
Here is the melted chocolate (let it cool for a few minutes) and the whipped eggs
Once cooled, you can add the sifted potato starch to the chocolate. Mix with a spatula or wooden spoon
Re-whisk the eggs for a minute and combine the chocolate with the egg mixture.
Mix with a spatula, or a wooden spoon, from top to bottom, gently, without deflating the mixture
Meanwhile, preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 320°F and divide the mixture into the molds, leaving about an inch from the top. Place them on the grill
Insert the drawer or tray into the air fryer and cook at 320°F for 20 minutes. When tested with a toothpick, they should be creamy.
Remove the drawer or tray from the air fryer and let them cool for 10 minutes. Then let them cool completely out of the grill. The surface will be cracked, but that’s normal, it’s a characteristic
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy these delicious chocolate cakes!

Tips and Variations for Chocolate Cakes
By respecting the cooking times indicated, you will obtain Chocolate Cakes with a creamy heart, but if you prefer a more compact and still moist consistency inside, just cook them for 3/5 more minutes. If you have decided to prepare the Chocolate Cakes with dark chocolate, you will need to use more sugar. In this case, the dose is 85 g
By doubling the doses, you can prepare a 20 cm cake following the same steps, buttering and flouring the mold
You can use aluminum molds instead of silicone ones, being larger, they will contain more mixture, so you’ll get fewer. Remember to butter and flour them before pouring the mixture.
Storage of Chocolate Cakes
