Nutella Tart in Air Fryer

Crispy and crumbly shortcrust pastry with a delicious and irresistible filling… this is the recipe for the Nutella Tart, cooked in a Air Fryer.

The Nutella Tart is certainly one of the most favorite and loved snacks by kids… and not only… in our family, we all go crazy for it! A simple recipe, but with some pitfalls during cooking: Nutella dries out and loses its original good and creamy consistency. A mistake I used to make too before discovering this trick. Today, with this recipe, I will explain how to achieve a compact crust that does not collapse during cooking and a soft, velvety cream, just like it came out of the jar.

I recommend preparing the crust in advance because it requires double resting: refrigerator and freezer… So what are we waiting for??!! Let’s go prepare this delicious Nutella Tart in a Air Fryer. I also leave you the oven cooking instructions in the dedicated section at the end of the recipe.

Tools

Suggested tools

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Parchment Paper
  • 1 Tart Pan 9-inch

Steps

How to Prepare the Tart

  • In a bowl, work all the ingredients with your hands, except for the butter, to obtain a sandy mixture.

  • Add the butter cut into pieces and quickly mix everything until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough

  • Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and leave it to rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator

  • After resting, take 3/4 of the crust and roll it out between two lightly floured sheets of parchment paper using a rolling pin

  • Transfer the crust to a buttered and floured pan and trim the excess dough with a knife

  • Fill with Nutella

  • Use the remaining crust to create strips for decoration. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and place in the freezer for 1 hour before baking. This is the trick to prevent Nutella from drying out

  • Bake at 338°F for 20 minutes, lower to 320°F, and continue for 10 minutes

  • The crust should be golden

  • Here it is ready with Nutella that has not lost its creamy consistency

  • Let it cool, dust with powdered sugar, and the snack is ready!
