Stuffed Liquid Focaccia in Air Fryer

Is it possible to prepare a delicious and tasty Focaccia in a few minutes? The answer is yes! The Stuffed Liquid Focaccia, cooked in an Air Fryer, is perfect if you don’t have time to knead and let the dough rise. In less than 30 minutes, including preparation and cooking, you’ll have a soft focaccia with a golden and crispy crust, irresistible.

Liquid Focaccia is an excellent base for your pizzas and focaccias, with few ingredients, no effort, and without dirtying your hands! Also delicious cold, this focaccia is perfect for any occasion and, with the arrival of spring, a great idea for your picnics and outings, soft and fluffy for several hours. You can enjoy it on its own or fill it with whatever you prefer, cold cuts, cheeses, or grilled vegetables.

The Liquid Focaccia can be baked both in an Air Fryer and in the oven, you will find the directions in the tips section, at the end of the recipe. The quantities I indicate are for a rectangular pan 9×11 inches, you can halve the quantities and use a pan 7-8 inches, adjust according to the capacity of your fryer. Ingredients

Ingredients for a 9×11 inches Focaccia

  • 5 1/2 oz all-purpose flour
  • 5 1/2 oz pastry flour
  • 1 1/2 cups water (Room temperature)
  • 1 1/2 oz extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 pinches sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast for savory preparations (0.5 oz)
  • 3 1/2 oz cooked ham
  • 7 oz crescenza cheese
  • to taste sesame seeds (Optional)
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Tools

What you need to make the liquid focaccia

  • 1 Hand whisk
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 Non-stick pan 9×11 inches

Steps

  • Dissolve salt, sugar and yeast with water and oil, stirring with a whisk

  • Add the flour

  • Keep stirring with the whisk until you get a smooth batter, it should be liquid

  • Generously grease with evo oil the bottom of the pan you will use for cooking the focaccia

  • Now pour half of the batter completely covering the bottom

  • Add the sliced cooked ham and distribute the crescenza or whatever you have decided to use as filling

  • Cover with the remaining batter and smooth it with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle the surface with sesame seeds (optional) and drizzle with evo oil

  • Preheat the fryer for 2-3 minutes and cook at 392°F for 18 minutes

  • Remove the focaccia from the oven, let it cool slightly

  • Your stuffed liquid focaccia is ready, slice and serve it! Try it and let me know
