Preparation for Apples Stuffed with Chocolate and Amaretti
Peel the oranges, cut into pieces, place them in a baking dish and then cook in the microwave oven or in a pot on the stove, add a little lemon juice, a piece of apple, and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
Let it cook for about 20 minutes until it thickens a little. If you prefer, you can skip this step and use ready-made orange jam.Continue the preparation by peeling the apples, removing the core, placing them in a baking dish, drizzling them with lemon juice and a little sugar, covering with cling film, and softening the apples in the microwave at high power for 5-7 minutes.
When the orange pulp is ready, pour the dark chocolate while it’s still hot, leaving some pieces aside, mix and blend well, add the crumbled amaretti and continue mixing.
Take the microwave-cooked apples, place them on a baking dish with parchment paper, then stuff them with the orange, chocolate, and amaretti mixture, filling them well, letting a good amount overflow.
Sprinkle the surface with the chopped chocolate set aside earlier, then transfer the baking dish to a preheated oven.
Bake the apples in a ventilated oven at 392°F for about 15-18 minutes. After baking, let them cool a bit, plate them, and serve the apples drizzling with their juice released during baking. Sprinkle with more crumbled amaretti, a sprig of mint, and a nice dusting of powdered sugar.
