Ingredients for the Cake with Bananas, Chocolate, and Oat Flakes
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups oat flakes
- 4 eggs (medium)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate
- 2 bananas (ripe)
- 1 packet baking powder (for desserts)
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Whisk
- 1 Pan 9-10 inches
- 1 Oven
Steps for the Cake with Bananas, Chocolate, and Oat Flakes
Peel the bananas, cut them into small pieces, and then mash them in a bowl with a fork until a puree forms.
In another bowl, beat the eggs well with the sugar, add the softened butter and banana puree, and mix well until the mixture is homogeneous. Gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder.
Continue mixing well with electric or hand whisks, adding the oat flakes and chopped dark chocolate or chips last.
When the batter is ready, pour it into a greased and floured 9-10 inch pan, sprinkle a tablespoon of brown sugar on top.
Place the pan in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) and bake for about 30-35 minutes on a fan setting.
Baking times also depend on your oven’s power. After 35 minutes, turn off the oven and leave the cake for another 5 minutes, then remove, let it cool slightly before taking it out of the pan.
Serve the sliced cake on a serving plate.
