Cantaloupe Basket with Mixed Fruit

The cantaloupe basket with mixed fruit is an elegant and impressive way to present fruit at the end of lunch or dinner. It’s very simple to make, just carve the outer edge into triangles, then scoop out the flesh and fill the basket with whatever you like most, just melon or other mixed fruits to add a touch of color or even some ice cream scoops.

For this basket, I used an orange cantaloupe, but it can also be made with a honeydew or a yellow melon.

This is my first time trying to carve, so it’s not perfect, but with a bit of practice, I hope to make a better basket in the future.

The melon basket can also be presented as an appetizer, filling it with slices of prosciutto, wrapping them into rose shapes for a more scenic effect.

Do you like the idea? It’s really beautiful and scenic, and it can be prepared in just a few minutes, follow the photos with the steps.
