I suggest this version coated with bitter cocoa, but you can vary and use, if you like, hazelnut crumbs or even coat them like dark chocolate bonbons.

  • 4 1/2 oz dry cookies
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp condensed milk
  • 1 oz strong coffee (sweetened)
  • 1 tbsp hazelnut paste

Crush the dry cookies, (I used Oro Saiwa, but other types are fine)
place them in a plastic bag and crush them several times with the rolling pin until crumbled.
You can also use an electric mixer.

  • Pour the crushed cookies into a bowl, add the condensed milk, yogurt, sweetened coffee, and mix well, finally add the hazelnut paste; it should form a smooth, workable dough.
    Then let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

  • Take a little dough with your fingers and make balls about the size of a walnut.
    Roll them well in bitter cocoa, place them directly on a tray or in paper cups, and keep them in the fridge until serving.

The truffles can be stored in the fridge for about 2 days.
It’s better to roll them in cocoa just before serving.

Regarding dry cookies, we can also use different types and even cocoa ones.

If we want to intensify the coffee flavor and aroma, we can add and dissolve a teaspoon of instant coffee in the cup of coffee.

For coating our truffles, we can also choose hazelnut crumbs or dark chocolate coating.
