The mascarpone and cream dessert with various flavors is a very delicious and quick spoon dessert, prepared in no time as it doesn’t require cooking.
Today, besides the white base, I offer my variations with bitter cocoa and hazelnut cream, all delicious and which you can always flavor and customize to your taste.
It’s a delicate cream with a soft, velvety, yet very compact texture, a recipe that is particularly popular, especially during the holiday season.
This dessert contains no eggs, only a basic cream of mascarpone, cream, and powdered sugar, a white version also useful for other variations like cocoa, hazelnut cream, or pistachio, which you can always enrich with chocolate chips, hazelnut pieces, fresh or candied orange zest.
The mascarpone cream is perfect to enjoy as is with a spoon but also for stuffing and decorating desserts, cakes, cupcakes, stuffed rolls, and it’s also an essential base for tiramisu!
During the Christmas period, it’s perfect to accompany panettones or pandoro.

- 8.8 oz mascarpone
- 7 oz fresh liquid cream
- 3.2 oz powdered sugar
- 4 tbsps bitter cocoa powder
- 4 tbsps hazelnut cream
- as needed hazelnuts

Preparation for Mascarpone Cream with Various Flavors
Pour the well-chilled cream into a bowl and whip it to stiff peaks with half of the sugar.
If you used sweetened cream, do not add the sugar.In another bowl with the same whisks, whip the drained mascarpone perfectly free of liquid with the other half of the sugar.
Add the whipped cream to the mascarpone bowl with a spatula, making delicate movements from bottom to top until you get a soft and dense cream!
You can use the cream as is, or the cocoa and hazelnut cream variations.Divide the cream into equal parts, flavor the white one with grated and candied orange pieces, in another add the bitter cocoa, mixing well, and in yet another the hazelnut cream.
Mix the 3 creams well and transfer them into bowls with a piping bag, garnish as desired with a sprinkle of bitter cocoa, hazelnuts, and pieces.
Store in the fridge and serve chilled.
Tips and Variations
You can flavor the creams with liqueur or other.
The mascarpone with cream can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days maximum.
