Instructions for Nutella Cookie Ducks
Knead the shortcrust pastry starting by whisking the sugar with the softened butter, then add the eggs, grated zest, flour, and baking powder, knead quickly, adding more flour if needed. Wrap the dough in a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper and let rest in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.
Take the dough, roll it out on a piece of parchment paper, using a rolling pin, and make many circles with a round mold. Use a large one for big ducks or a smaller one if you want smaller pieces.
Fill the center of the circle with a teaspoon of Nutella, fold and seal forming a half-moon, press well on the edges, then use a pizza cutter to make cuts to form the wings, with another piece of pastry roll it to form a cord, place it on the rest of the pastry, shape with your hands to form the neck and head of the duck.
Do the same with the rest of the pastry, then add chocolate chips to highlight the eye area and then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake the ducks in the preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 15 minutes, once they turn golden, remove them from the oven and after cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve!
