Steps for the Puff Pastry Star with Cheese and Salmon
Open the puff pastry roll and with all the parchment paper, lay it on a baking tray.
Fill the pastry with the creamy cheese spread with salmon.
Make 8 cuts on the edge, with a pizza cutter or a knife, without reaching the center, as shown in the attached photo.
Place pieces of smoked salmon on each cut edge.
Once the edges are filled, pull the two ends and join them to form a triangle, do the same with the other edges, closing well by pressing with your fingers. Now make another 8 cuts in the center, forming an asterisk, so that the cuts are halfway through the larger wedge.
Fill each flap or triangle with more pieces of salmon and half a bite of scamorza for each wedge.
Bring the tip between the two triangles from the center towards the outside and close the filling.Place an olive between one wedge and another and transfer the baking tray to the oven.
Bake the Puff Pastry Star with Cheese and Salmon in a preheated fan oven at 392°F for about 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 356°F and continue baking for another 20 minutes or so.
Remove the star from the oven, garnish, and serve it hot on a serving plate, decorated with parsley leaves and a central salmon rosette.
