Savory Meatloaf Pizza and also this recipe to get my husband to eat some meat, he eats very little and rarely.
Since my children are away, I buy little meat; the few times I cook it, I try to incorporate it into somewhat special recipes, so it is barely noticeable and with this excuse, I can get him to eat it a bit.
Sometimes I envy my friends who, when they have little time, go for a grilled steak, never at my house!
The Savory Meatloaf Pizza is nothing more than a mixture of meat, eggs, and bread like a classic meatloaf, but spread, filled, and baked like a pizza.
I invite you to try it; it is a simple recipe to prepare with the result of this very tasty main course that tastes more like pizza than meat and will please both adults and children.

Preparation for the Savory Meatloaf Pizza
To prepare the meatloaf pizza, start by preparing the dough.
Take a bowl and soak the stale bread with water or milk, I used my whole grain.
Once it’s nicely soaked, squeeze well and remove the excess water, add the eggs, Grana Padano, salt, oregano, and a tablespoon of tomato sauce.Mix well and combine everything, the mixture should be soft but dry, if it’s too mushy add a few tablespoons of dry breadcrumbs.
Take a medium round pan, if you want a very thick dough take a smaller pan, line it with wet and squeezed parchment paper, drizzle with a little oil and a dusting of breadcrumbs, and then spread the mixture.FILLING
Spread the mixture evenly as if it were a pizza, then top it with tomato sauce, a sprinkle of Grana, capers, oregano, and provola cut into pieces.
Drizzle everything with a little olive oil and then proceed with cooking.
COOKING
Bake the meatloaf pizza in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 15 minutes, when the provola is nice and stringy and the surface is well cooked, take it out of the oven!
Slice and serve the meatloaf pizza with fresh basil leaves, optionally you can also add slices of cooked ham or other.
