It’s an elegant and super fast appetizer to prepare, knowing that during the holidays, with all the commitments, it’s not always possible to do everything. This is the ideal solution to impress your guests in a short time.

The appetizer is prepared with a mix of pre-packaged smoked fish: tuna, swordfish, and salmon, accompanied by a fresh green mayonnaise with parsley.

Ingredients for the Smoked Fish Trio with Green Sauce

  • 2 slices Smoked Salmon
  • 2 slices Smoked Tuna
  • 2 slices Smoked Swordfish
  • 1 Lemon
  • to taste Cherry Tomatoes
  • to taste Parsley
  • 0.55 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Drop of Lemon
  • 5 sprigs Fresh Parsley

Preparation for the Smoked Fish Trio with Green Sauce

  • For the preparation of this appetizer, I used carpaccio slices from this ready and pre-packaged smoked trio and fresh parsley mayonnaise.
    The parsley mayonnaise is a simple, quick sauce perfect for accompanying this fish trio, very simple to prepare.

  • With the immersion blender, pour into the glass, in the following order, the egg, vegetable oil, a few drops of lemon juice, vinegar, and fresh parsley to taste.

  • Blend with the immersion blender, keeping it still until the mayonnaise begins to form, then proceed by moving the blender from bottom to top until the desired consistency is reached.

  • If you don’t have time, you can use the packaged one, add mayonnaise to the blender glass to taste, a few tablespoons of oil, and parsley leaves, blend everything until obtaining a green sauce.

  • Take a serving plate; if you like, you can follow my presentation idea, lay the mixed slices of the smoked fish trio, make little roses with the salmon slices by rolling them and shaping them.

  • Add also slices of lemon, washed and cut cherry tomatoes, and some sprigs of parsley, drizzle with a little oil and very little green sauce.
    Serve the appetizer and the green mayonnaise sauce in a separate bowl.

Tips and Variations

You can also serve the appetizer with a green salad or citronette according to your taste and accompany it with toasted rustic bread drizzled with a little extra virgin olive oil.
