Turkey with Potatoes in a Pan

As you may have noticed from my recipes, I rarely cook meat dishes. Since my children have moved out, my husband and I eat a lot more vegetables and fish.

Today, I had the opportunity to get some free-range turkey meat, and so I prepared this delicious turkey and potatoes in a pan. It is very tasty, and you can really taste the flavor of the free-range meat, accompanied by soft, golden potatoes.

If you like, make it, it’s a quick recipe that can be prepared in about half an hour, perfect for any occasion, even for the holiday season.

Preparation for Turkey with Potatoes in a Pan

  • In a large pan, sauté the onion cut into thin strips with olive oil, add the pieces of turkey meat and herbs, and brown well on all sides. Deglaze with white wine and let it evaporate.

  • Peel, wash, and cut the potatoes into wedges, then add them to the pan along with the turkey. Cook on medium heat, stirring and browning the potatoes as well.

  • To get crispy and firm potatoes, you can fry them first in oil in the pan and then add them to the turkey. My mom always does this, but I was in a hurry and skipped this step.

Proceed by adding the tomato sauce, salt, and about 1 glass of water. Stir, cover, and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
The turkey with potatoes in a pan is ready when the sauce has reduced and thickened.
