The 12 Tablespoons Apple Cake is a very simple dessert to prepare, where you don’t need to use a scale, just a spoon, a bowl, and electric beaters, it’s made in 10 minutes, and you’ll have a fragrant apple cake, very soft, fragrant, and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 12 tablespoons flour (heaped)
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (8 for a less sweet version)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (at room temperature)
  • 12 tablespoons corn oil
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • grated zest of 1 lemon (untreated)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 large apples
  • to taste ground cinnamon (you can also omit it)
  • to taste powdered sugar (for finishing)

Steps

  • Butter and flour a 22 cm bundt cake mold.

    Peel the apples and slice them, place them in a bowl with the lemon juice.

    Preheat the oven to 340°F.

    Sift the 12 heaped tablespoons of flour together with the baking powder.

    Put the eggs and sugar in a bowl and beat with electric beaters for 4 minutes at maximum speed (you can also use a stand mixer).


    Once well beaten, add the oil, a pinch of salt, grated lemon zest, cinnamon (you can also omit it), and milk, quickly mix with electric beaters until you have a homogeneous mixture.

  • Add the flour and baking powder mixture and mix with the beaters until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture, remove the beaters, add the apple slices with their juice, and mix with a spatula.

    Pour the mixture into the mold.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 35 minutes, check the center with a toothpick, it should come out dry.


    Let it cool, then place the quick apple cake on a tray and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  • Pour the mixture into the mold.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 35 minutes, check the center with a toothpick, it should come out dry.

    Let it cool, then place the quick apple cake on a tray and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
