Chocolate Cream

The chocolate cream is one of the simplest, quickest, and most delicious desserts; all you need are 3 simple ingredients and in 10 minutes you’ll have a fabulous dessert.

Try it and vary it as you like (below you will find many alternatives) and you will have a different dessert each time that will make everyone happy, young and old alike, with very little effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh whole milk
  • 10.5 oz milk chocolate
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch

Tools

  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Whisk
  • 6 Molds

Steps

Wet the inside of the molds.

Blend the chopped chocolate together with the cornstarch until it is almost in powder form.

Place the milk on low heat and bring it almost to a boil; as soon as the first bubbles appear, add the blended chocolate with the cornstarch and stir continuously with a whisk until the mixture thickens (it should resemble pastry cream).

At this point, turn off the heat, pour into the molds, and let cool at room temperature and then refrigerate for at least an hour.

After the resting time, flip onto a plate and decorate as desired. Serve.

  • Wet the inside of the molds.

    Put the chopped chocolate with the cornstarch in the jug 30 sec./Speed 5.

    Add the milk 7 minutes/194°F/Speed 3.

    Turn off the Bimby, pour the obtained cream into the molds, and let cool at room temperature and then refrigerate for at least an hour.

    After the resting time, flip onto a plate and decorate as desired. Serve.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

You can replace whole milk with:

cream – semi-skimmed milk – skimmed milk – plant-based milk

You can replace milk chocolate with:

300 g dark chocolate – 150 g dark chocolate and 150 g milk chocolate

You can replace cornstarch with:

2 tbsps flour

You can add:

1 tablespoon sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla essence – 1 tablespoon rum – hazelnut or pistachio grains.

Decoration:

Chocolate chips – a dollop of whipped cream – chopped nuts – chocolate or caramel topper
