Bay Leaf and Lemon Tea:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 leaves bay leaf
  • 1 unwaxed lemon
  • to taste honey (or sweetener, or sugar, or stevia)
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 sprigs mint
  • 1 unwaxed lemon
  • to taste honey (or sweetener, or sugar, or stevia)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 unwaxed lemon
  • to taste honey (or sweetener, or sugar, or stevia)

Tools

  • 1 Pot
  • 1 Peeler
  • 1 Citrus Juicer
  • 1 Strainer

Steps

  • Wash the lemon thoroughly to remove impurities from the peel and use a peeler to remove all the peel, being careful not to cut into the white part, which would be very bitter. Also, squeeze the lemon juice.

    Wash the bay leaves well, place them in a small pot (or kettle), add the water, lemon peel, bring to a boil, and cook for 3 minutes. At this point, turn off the heat, add the lemon juice, and a bit of honey (or sweetener, or sugar, or stevia) if you prefer it less bitter. Stir well and let it steep for another 5 minutes, strain it, and drink it while still hot.
