Pasta with asparagus.

The pasta with asparagus is a very quick and easy first course to prepare, simple, rich in flavor, and so tasty. A perfect dish for the whole family, but even if you have guests, you will impress them with its simplicity at the first taste.

Ingredients
- 14 oz caserecce (or pasta shape of your choice)
- 10.5 oz asparagus
- 1 large onion
- 2.5 oz grated Parmesan cheese
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste pepper
- to taste salt

Steps
Clean the asparagus by removing the hard part of the stem and breaking the remaining part into pieces, leaving the tips whole.
Peel the onion and chop it not too finely.
Put a pot on the stove with plenty of lightly salted water to cook the pasta.
In a pan, lightly stew the onion with some extra virgin olive oil, add the asparagus, season lightly with salt, add a grind of pepper, and cook covered with a lid on low heat for about 10 minutes. The asparagus should become soft but not mushy.
Meanwhile, the pasta water will have come to a boil, so cook the pasta for one minute less than the time indicated on the package.
Reserve some pasta cooking water and then drain it.
Add the pasta to the asparagus sauce, turn on the heat, add a little pasta cooking water and stir to combine everything for about 1 minute, turn off the heat, add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until combined.
Serve immediately.
