Ingredients:
- 1 pandoro
- 2 cups ml fresh whipping cream
- 1 cup g powdered sugar
- 9 oz g mascarpone
- 2 tablespoons rum
- 7 oz g Nutella®
- 0.5 cup ml water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 oz shot rum (or a vial of rum flavoring)
Tools
- 2 Bowls
- 1 Electric whisk
- 1 Pot
- 1 Knife
- 1 Food marker
- 1 Plate
Steps
Let’s prepare the syrup: Put the water in a small pot with the sugar and bring it to a boil, stir well and turn off the heat.
Add the liqueur (add little by little and taste according to your preference), mix again and let it cool slightly.
Let’s prepare the filling:
Put the cream and powdered sugar in a large bowl and start whipping it with an electric mixer. Once semi-whipped, add the mascarpone and continue whipping until you get a fluffy and creamy mixture. Add the liqueur (alternatively, you can add a vial of rum flavoring) and whip for a moment to blend everything together.
The mascarpone cream is ready.
Warm the Nutella for 30 seconds in the microwave or in a bain-marie to make it creamier.
Now we can proceed with stuffing our pandoro.
Cut the pandoro into 5 horizontal slices to get star shapes.
With a squeeze bottle or pastry brush, lightly moisten the pandoro with the prepared syrup.
Cover with a bit of mascarpone cream (keeping in mind you have to make the various layers), drizzle some Nutella from a spoon here and there on the cream.
Place the other slice of pandoro, positioning the star points offset (the slices should no longer match, they should create the shape of a tree as in the photo)
Moisten again lightly with the syrup, spread with mascarpone cream, and then drizzle Nutella here and there.
Continue with the filling, pandoro slices, and syrup until the last slice, which you should moisten on both sides before placing it on top.
The stuffed pandoro with mascarpone cream and chocolate is ready to be enjoyed…
Just before serving, dust it with the powdered sugar included in the pandoro package.

NOTES:
You can also prepare the mascarpone cream a few hours in advance and store it in the fridge covered with plastic wrap, and stuff the pandoro at the last minute to have the Nutella nice and creamy. Otherwise, you can also stuff the pandoro in advance and store it in the fridge. Before serving, I recommend taking it out of the fridge about 10 minutes earlier.
