3-Ingredient Apple Pound Cake Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 5.3 oz cream cheese (like Philadelphia)
  • 3 eggs (medium)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • as needed lemon juice (to drizzle on apples)
  • as needed honey (to serve)

Tools

  • 1 Apple Corer
  • 1 Vegetable Peeler
  • 1 Pound Cake Mold 7-8 inches wide

3-Ingredient Apple Pound Cake Preparation

  • Remove the stem from the apples, then core them with an apple corer and peel them.

  • Slice the apples thinly (if you have a mandoline, use it), drizzle with lemon juice.

  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven in static mode at 350°F, then in a bowl, mix the eggs with the cream cheese using a hand whisk.

  • Add the vanilla extract and mix.

    Add the apple slices, saving half an apple for decoration.

  • Mix to coat the apple slices evenly, then pour the mixture into the pound cake mold.

  • Decorate the surface with the reserved apples and place in the center rack of the oven.

  • Bake for 25 minutes and before removing from the oven, do the toothpick test, it should come out slightly damp, which is perfect.

    It shouldn’t be too dry since the apples soften in the oven, giving creaminess.

  • Remove from oven, let it cool slightly before removing from the mold, and before serving, drizzle with honey.

How to store the 3-Ingredient Apple Pound Cake

You can store it in a cake container for 2 days; if it’s too hot, place it in the fridge in a container with a lid for 3 days.
