Baked Marinated Chicken Wings

The baked marinated chicken wings are truly addictive. I give you indicative quantities to serve them with one or more side dishes, but if you know your guests love wings you can make more — they’re so inexpensive that you shouldn’t skimp on quantity and you’ll see them disappear in no time.

These marinated chicken wings are simply fabulous. One tip: prepare them in the morning for the evening or, even better, the night before so the marinade penetrates the meat and they become much tastier. You can also save these marinade ingredients to use with pork bites or even a nice cut of meat.

Ingredients for baked marinated chicken wings

  • 3 lb 5 oz chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 1/3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 pinches salt
  • 2 pinches pepper
  • 0.35 oz sweet paprika

How to prepare baked marinated chicken wings

  • Prepare the baked marinated chicken wings by removing any remaining feathers from the wings if present, then pat them dry with paper towels.

  • Remove the tip of the wing, which would be too dry (I left it on some wings), then you can either split them so you have smaller pieces or leave them whole, as you prefer.

  • In a large bowl that can hold all the wings, place all the marinade ingredients — of course mince the garlic and parsley very finely — and mix everything together very well.

  • Add the wings and toss them to coat with the marinade, cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.

  • Before baking the wings, take them out of the refrigerator, preheat the oven to 356°F and arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Cook the wings for 30 minutes then take them out, turn them over and raise the oven temperature to 392°F.

    Return the tray to the oven and finish cooking for another 20 minutes or until the wings are well browned and golden.

Storage for baked marinated chicken wings

Chicken wings can be kept in the refrigerator for 2 days in an airtight container.

You can freeze the wings by laying them out on a baking sheet to freeze individually; once frozen, transfer them to a freezer bag.
