Ingredients for the butter cookies with jam
- 1.6 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 oz butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 1/2 tbsp jam (of your choice)

How to prepare butter cookies with jam
Prepare the butter cookies with jam by quickly working the flour with the very cold butter cut into pieces.
Add one yolk at a time, then the rest of the ingredients and knead quickly by hand.
Turn the dough onto a pastry board and form a smooth and compact ball, leaving it to rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
After the resting time, preheat the oven to 350°F, line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Form the butter cookies with jam by taking small amounts of dough, then form a ball slightly larger than a walnut.
Place the balls spaced apart on the baking tray and use the handle of a wooden spoon to make a hole in the center.
Fill with your preferred jam or marmalade and bake on the middle shelf of the oven.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, checking that the cookies are just starting to color.
