Ingredients for Chocolate Cream with Cream Cheese

  • 7 oz cream cheese (like Philadelphia)
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate (or milk chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter

Preparation of Chocolate Cream with Cream Cheese

  • To prepare the chocolate cream with cream cheese, first keep the cream cheese at room temperature.

  • Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place it in a small bowl, melt it in a double boiler.

    You can use a saucepan with 2 inches of water and place the bowl on top without it touching the water.

  • Or place it in the microwave at medium power for 30 seconds at a time, remove, stir, and continue to melt it.

    It takes at most 2 minutes.

  • Once the chocolate is melted add the cold butter in pieces and quickly mix with a rubber spatula.

  • Finally, incorporate the powdered sugar and cream cheese and always mix with the rubber spatula to combine all the ingredients.

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the chocolate cream with cream cheese rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

  • To prepare the chocolate cream with cream cheese using milk chocolate, choose a high-quality chocolate.

  • Melt the chocolate as I explained for the dark one, incorporate the powdered sugar and cream cheese.

  • Then DO NOT use the butter (milk chocolate has plenty), mix very well with a rubber spatula.

  • Let the chocolate and cream cheese cream rest in the fridge as much as possible.
